**MY SECOND VERSION!**
Scrubbie turned to Cordial Cup Spiral Whipped Cream
This is my second version of the cordial cup spiral whipped cream. The difference here is that the piece is not worked in bk lps. Rather, a row of slip stitches worked in the ft lps is used to create ridges for a more defined whipped cream. Original credit goes to Judith. Thank
you fellow crocheter!
This new version remains as 15 stitches by 15 rows. Every row is increased on one end and decreased on the other. Pictured, I am using DK weight yarn with a 4 mm (rather than my usual 3 mm) hook. Use a slightly larger hook to avoid creating stitches that are too tight as looser stitches work better with this pattern.
Leaving an 8" tail, ch 16.
Row 1: Working in back ridges, make 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 12 chs, sc dec - 15 sc.
Row 2: This is the rs. Ch 1, turn. Working in ft lps, sl st across - 15 sl st.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in next st, 12 sc, sc dec - 15 sc.
Rows 4-31: Repeat rows 2-3 fourteen times. Do not fasten off. Working through both thicknesses, sl st along edge to join first and last rows together. Fasten off, leaving an 8" tail.
Weave in remaining two sides together with the two 8" tails. The entire piece is now sealed. With one tail, pull it through the whipped cream's center, bringing both ends to the middle. With the other tail, pull it through the whipped cream's center on the opposite side, bringing both ends to the middle. Alternatively, weave tail through other corner before bringing both corners to center. Bring one tail through the whipped cream again. Both tails are now together on one side. Tie them in a knot. Hide loose ends inside the whipped cream.
For the cake, follow the Cheesecake Square pattern.
For the chocolate syrup, follow the Sundae Oh La La Cheesecake pattern.
Step-by-step Spiral Whipped Cream Tutorial
After crocheting 15 rows,
1. Sc together the first row and last row.
2. With each tail, weave in the sides together. The entire piece is now closed.
3. Using a yarn needle and with each tail, weave it through the middle of the piece.
4. Optional: Weave the tail through the second corner on each side and then through the middle a
second time. This ensures all corners are pulled tightly to the center.
5. With one tail, weave it through the middle of the piece again, bringing both tails together on one side.
6. Tie the tails together in a knot. Then, weave the ends inside the piece.
